Bridge washing, sweeping, shoulder grading, and mowing operations are some of Mainroad’s spring and summer highway maintenance activities.  This means drivers, like you and your loved ones, can expect to see crews working on the side of the road including electrical maintenance workers, construction crews, and traffic control.

Roadside work is a hazardous job.  Please Slow Down and Move Over when approaching roadside workers and vehicles stopped on the road – it’s the law.

Remaining safe is a joint responsibility.  When you see our crews, please slow down and drive with extreme care.  Stay alert, minimize distractions, and show respect for crews at work for you,” Real Charrois, Director of Operations – Maintenance.

Mainroad aims to schedule as much work as possible around peak traffic periods (and not during) ~ drivers are reminded to drive with caution when approaching Cone Zone areas and to obey signs & traffic control where crews are working.
