Mainroad Chinook Contracting LP

Mainroad Chinook Contracting has been contracted by Chinook Highway Operations Inc. – a partnership between SNC-Lavalin Operations & Maintenance Inc. and Acciona Concessions Canada (2008) Inc. The maintenance contract includes services such as road repair, snow-removal and lighting maintenance for the Southeast Stoney Trail (SEST). The headquarters and main works yard for Mainroad Chinook Contracting are located in the Calgary community.

The Southeast Stoney Trail (SEST) Project is a public-private partnership (P3) between the Alberta Government and Chinook Roads Partnership and is one of the largest single P3 highway infrastructure projects in Alberta’s history. SEST is Mainroad’s first highway maintenance contract outside of British Columbia and our first highway asset management contract within Alberta. This contract represents a spring board for Mainroad to venture into other business opportunities in Alberta and elevates our P3 business portfolio. Pre-operations commenced April, 2013 while maintenance operations commenced November 2013.

The Southeast Stoney ring road is located in Calgary, Alberta, an urbanized and rapidly growing region with the highest concentration of people and communities in the province and a magnet for tourism.

Mainroad is an active member of the Alberta Road Builders & Heavy Construction Association (ARHCA) and Alberta Public Works Association.
