Last summer, doing 41 km or more over the limit meant a large fine for BC drivers. This year, drivers who speed excessively will have their car towed and impounded for seven days, in addition to a fine of $368-$483. To put this in perspective, during the 2010 May long weekend, 111 drivers were charged with excessive speeding by the RCMP in the Lower Mainland. [Courtesy of AM730]
