Surrey, BC, October 31, 2014 – Driving the message home about winter driving safety starts with engaging kids and teens, our future drivers. This weekend, Mainroad will be hosting a Shift into Winter Driving Awareness event at Teen Fest.
Mainroad Group’s Corporate Compliance Manager, Bob Nielsen (seen left) oversees our corporate safety program and in recent years has been targeting a younger audience at Cone Zone and Shift into Winter campaigns. “Safety awareness is exciting and we want to create an environment for young people that is interesting and engaging. At the same time we know that parents want to do the right thing. If their children are mentioning some of our key messages; Slow Down in a Cone Zone or Do Not Pass a Snow Plow, good driving habits will be formed and parents may become more conscious of their own driving.”
This fall, a new member joins the Mainroad Team, Winter Willy (seen above). “We are driving a very simple message to our future drivers.
Slow Down
Do Not Pass a Snow Plow.
When kids see Winter Willy and engage in a fun interactive safety program that is a key element to teaching and retention.”
