Is it your turn to get your friends home safe?
During the Canada Day weekend and all summer long please plan ahead and drive safe.
Whether youâre golfing, boating or hosting a BBQ with friends, if your summer activities involve alcohol, make sure you plan ahead for a safe ride home.
This summer, ICBC is supporting its police partners in preventing impaired driving with a CounterAttack awareness campaign.
The campaign reminds you to plan ahead during summer celebrations and choose a safe way homeâcall a cab, take transit, or choose a designated driver. Weâre promoting this message with a designated driver TV ad and CounterAttack radio ads running province-wide.
We want everyone to enjoy their summer and have a good time. Here are a few tips to keep our roads safer:
- Being a designated driver is a shared responsibility; take your turn to help get your friends home safely.
- Plan your safe ride home before you start drinking. If youâre going to drink, choose a designated driver before heading out.
- Use other safe options to get home safely: call a taxi, take transit, use a shuttle service, or call a sober friend.
Know before you go. Be prepared for a safe drive this summer. For changing road conditions, visit www.drivebc.com.
