There’s just no excuse to drink and drive.

Winter holiday get-togethers are great ways for people spend time together while enjoying alcohol responsibly but there’s no excuse to drink and drive.

  • If you plan to drink, leave your car at home.
  • If your holiday festivities involve alcohol, plan ahead for a safe ride home: arrange a designated driver, call a taxi, take transit, or use Operation Red Nose.
  • Police will be looking for impaired drivers at CounterAttack roadchecks throughout the holiday season.
  • The number of people killed in impaired-related crashes each year has significantly dropped with 40 years of CounterAttack, but impaired driving remains a top contributing factor in B.C.
